Convergence mail supports Secure/Multipurpose Internet Mail Extension (S/MIME) specification. S/MIME enables you to send secure messages.
Note - You must have message-signing and encryption enabled for you at your site for you to use this feature.
The Security section enables you to set your preferences for the messages you send. The options you set here are applied to all actions on your messages.
The following options are available:
Default Sending Settings: You can specify the security settings you want to apply to all messages that you send.
The following options are available:
Sign all messages during send: Select the checkbox corresponding to this option if you want to sign all outgoing messages. This option is deselected if you do not have a certificate. If you have a certificate, this option is enabled automatically.
Encrypt all messages during send: Select the checkbox corresponding to this option if you want to encrypt all outgoing messages.
Signing Certificate: You can choose a signing certificate when sending your messages. You can select a signing certificate from the drop-down list.
