Yes, you can set up a new Twitter account through Convergence with the following steps.

Select Social on the left navigation panel, which displays the Social Tab on the right panel.
Click the t Twitter icon on the left navigation panel.
Click Connect with Twitter. A login window appears.
Click the Sign up for Twitter link from the right top of the login window.
Enter your full name, a user name, a password, and your email address. Select Let others find me by this email address option if you want people on Twitter to find you by your email address. Click Sign Up available in the right top corner of the login window.
